This year there's a new addition to Joe Harris Elementary School as they created and opened a STEAM Lab for hands-on learning for students in grades K-5.
So far, students have explored insulation, chemical reactions, the Engineering Design Process, LEGO building challenges, and how sound waves travel through objects. To make the STEAM lab successful, the school involved the whole community. A team of teachers prepped the content, lessons and materials, and donations from the community supplied essential materials for exploration.
The Joe Harris Elementary School Retrievers are full "STEAM" ahead. Great job!
