School Goals:

The new Joe Harris Elementary campus has approximately 87,000 feet of floor space and has space to accommodate approximately 800 students.  The school is named after the late Joe Harris, a Sandoval County Sheriff's Deputy who lost his life in the line of duty in 2009.  Deputy Harris was a champion for children who was a frequent visitor to Rio Rancho schools and classrooms, often with his faithful therapy dog Harley (a Golden Retriever) at his side.  He was an advocate for drug prevention and other programs promoting the safety and welfare of students.
